Lance orchestrated a recent makeover of Nashville-based Goo Goo Clusters’ signature candy confection and landed a choice profile in The Tennessean newspaper.

Dating back to 1912, Goo Goo Clusters is said to be the first combination ingredient candy bar in the country, bringing together marshmallow nougat, peanuts and chocolate at a time when candy bars included only one ingredient. As executive vice president of Goo Goo Cluster LLC, part of Standard Functional Foods Group, Lance upgraded the candy’s ingredients, raised the price and modernized the retro packaging and manufacturing method, all while preserving the candy’s essential identity.
