Jay Richardson, MBA '94Jay was recently appointed the 104th President of the historic Rotary Club of Los Angeles.

Founded in 1909, LA5, as it is known to members, is the fifth oldest Rotary club in the world and one of the largest. The club also has one of the largest endowments of any Rotary club in the world, the income from which supports a wide range of philanthropic projects that total more than $500,000 annually.

The Rotary Club of Los Angeles has provided a forum for prominent people from business, the professions, government and academia in the United States and around the world. They have found the club to be an excellent venue to present their views on topical issues and encourage support for their programs and causes.

Jay serves a vice president and senior portfolio manager for Wilmington Trust Wealth Advisory Services. He advises wealthy private clients to establish financial goals and asset allocation strategies, and manages about $600 million. Jay has significant wealth management and institutional investment experience with Wilmington Trust, Bank of America Private Bank, Payden & Rygel Investment Counsel and Wilshire Associates.

Jay recently co-founded a media company to produce faith, inspirational and patriotic films. The company also produces family and action drama films for theatrical distribution.

In additional to the Rotary Club of Los Angeles, Jay is a dynamic leader in numerous community service and professional organizations. He has chaired several committees for the CFA Society of Los Angeles and co-founded its charitable foundation to promote financial literacy among disadvantaged students in Los Angeles. Also, Jay is honored to serve as Prior VII for the chivalric and charitable order of the Knights Templar in Los Angeles; and is an active member of the Los Cabelleros, Atlas PAC, US Navy League, Sons of the Revolution, Sons of the American Revolution, Tau Kappa Epsilon and American MENSA.
