In Memoriam: David F. Kendall, MBA ’92

David Feick Kendall of Yarmouth, Maine, 48, died July 8, 2011, in a boating accident in Gloucester, Massachusetts.

He is survived by his wife, Dana Haight Kendall, and three children, Daniel Henry Kendall, 16, Hannah Colleen Kendall, 15, and Samuel John Kendall, 15 months. David is also survived by his brother, Andrew Way Kendall; his sister, Sarah Kendall Mitchell; and many loved nieces and nephews.

He was a licensed boat captain, whose interests included scuba diving, snow sports, wood working, and small boat sailing. He had just skippered his sailboat in the Marion to Bermuda Race.

David graduated from Deerfield Academy in 1981, Texas A&M in 1985, and Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management with an MBA in 1992.

His work experience includes Western Sod of Casa Grande, Arizona, the Carrier Division of United Technology in Syracuse, New York, Singapore, and Mexico City, Mexico. He was general manager for Kaiser Aluminum in Chandler, Arizona and Newark, Ohio. Finally, in Maine, he was a consultant for Hodgdon Yachts.

Interment plans call for cremation followed by a scattering of his ashes at a time and place yet to be determined.

    To the Family of Mr. David Kendall,

    I didn’t know him, but he seems to have been a good person. Please accept my sincere condolances. I wish you luck in getting through the tough time(s) ahead. 🙁
