Robert “Bob” Leveque, PKE 93, MBA ‘95

Bob was one of 23 philanthropy leaders from across the Commonwealth of Virginia to receive the Chancellor’s Award for Leadership in Philanthropy. This award given by the Virginia Foundation for Community College Education was presented at a special ceremony held on April 20, 2010. Bob is vice president of manufacturing for RR Donnelley. He has been instrumental in creating a brighter future for the region by contributing substantially to the growth of the area and, specifically, to Central Virginia Community College.

Leveque’s interest in and support for the community is evident in his involvement in Central Virginia organizations. He has served on the board of directors for the Lynchburg Regional Chamber of Commerce, Junior Achievement of Greater Lynchburg, Region 2000, Amazement Square, and The Lynchburg City School’s Education Foundation. He is also the immediate past Chairman of the Board for the United Way of Central Virginia.

Central Virginia Community College honors him for his invaluable interest in the College and his total support of the CVCC Educational Foundation, Inc. He served on the CVCC Foundation Board of Directors for three years. His leadership has been invaluable in establishing an important electronics classroom in the College’s AREVA Technology Center and by contributing to efforts by the College to meet workforce development needs in Virginia’s Region 2000.
