Rob and his New Jersey-based Surf Taco restaurant chain were featured in the New York Times. The article highlighted the skepticism Rob encountered after transplanting from Southern California and introducing the seafood taco to New Jersey customers. He has since won the locals over, now operating eight restaurants. “Now I see more customers moving away from beef and coming in for fish,” The Times quoted. Thus the recent additions of a blackened mahi-mahi taco and a mango-shrimp taco.
