David Richard Daniel, MBA ‘72

Dave Daniel died unexpectedly on July 17, 2010 at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. He suffered from an aortic dissection on Sunday, July 11th, and was not able to recover.

He was born July 14, 1945 in Glendale, CA to Mary Lou and Richard R. Daniel. He was a devoted, loving husband for 39 years, a wonderful father of three, and grandfather of six. Dave graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1968 and attained an MBA from Pepperdine University.

After graduating from OSU, he was a captain in the army, serving in Vietnam and Hawaii. He and his wife, Judy Brown Daniel, were married in Hawaii on January 29, 1971. He has been in the banking industry for most of his adult life, working at Citizens Bank of Edmond for the last nine years. He was a sports enthusiast and loved OSU sports and the new OKC Thunder.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Dick Daniel. He is survived by his loving wife Judy; sons, Matt (Mandie Bamborough) and Mark; a daughter, Katie; and his wonderful mother, Mary Lou. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two sisters, Susan Sullivan of Edmond and Diane Adams (Ed); mother-in-law, Marjory Brown-Britt ; and numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and nieces and nephews.
